A Photographic Series
This series was created as part of an independent study I created during the second semester of this past school year, my junior year. This collection makes up the second part of the study. This shoot was inspired largely by Talking Heads’ hit track “Once in a Lifetime,” hence the project title “Water Flowing,” which is derived from a lyric in the song. “Once in a Lifetime” is a wonderfully surreal portrait of suburban life in America, and I wanted to follow suit and accent the weird that lies in the normal. Here is my illustration of prime American oddity:
